The Antwerp workshop is this weekend. The final programme of speakers and guest attendees is now confirmed:
Sunday 27th:
Carmen Espejo (Seville): 'Communications Networks in Early Modern Europe'
Andrew Pettegree (St. Andrews): 'What constitutes a news print in 16th-century Europe?'
Helmer Helmers (Leiden & Amsterdam): 'The tragic stage of Britain: the Civil War in Dutch Pamphlets'
Paul Arblaster (HS Zuyd, Maastricht): paper title tbc
Nina Lamal (K.U. Leuven): 'The First Years of the Dutch troubles in Italian avvisi'.
Nikolaus Schobesberger will give a presentation on the activities of the Fugger Newsletters digitisation project, based at the university of Vienna, and there will be a number of guest participants, including Arjan van Dixhoorn of Ghent University, as well as Dirk Imhof from the Plantin-Moretus itself.
